I am working for a theme park in Gilroy, in the hospitality department. Our job is to cater company's events within a specific time period. Customers that are allowed into our area must have tickets and in return they have access to our lunch buffet, which foods choice are vary upon company's decision. Last Saturday was one of our big event and we had to serve 1000 customers, in and out within a 2-hour time length. Not only it was hectic and tiresome, but also almost unbearable with many customers requests. Yet, we managed through it with excellent remarks from customer surveys. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. about 50min. after our cut-off serving time, which was from 12pm-2pm, a family of 5: 2 six-foot-something guys, 1 middle age women, and 2 teenage boys, all of them look "obese" to me, was walking toward our serving area while we were cleaning the food line and asked me "What happen to all the food?" I pointed out that if they look on the ticket, the first line said Meal Time: 12pm - 2pm. Second line said Park Area: 11am - 3pm. Once I clarified that they are about an hour late, they blown up on me and cussing at me and the "stupid park regulation" and then demanding food at that moment. At that point, my supervisor took over the situation and handled it in the office. Stupid fat people expected food when they are almost 1 hour late. Why would they think we should have known that stupid customer can't read and save food for them just in case? Even if they look at the wrong time (11am - 3pm), they still fuckin 10min from closing time. We get people come in late like this every now and then, but never rude enough to cuss at me. Still, I just don't get why stupid people can't read carefully and just come the time that we said the area will be open. Why do they have to wait until it is almost closing time???
