I work at a gas station where the policy on tobacco sales is to ID everyone who looks under 40 UNLESS at least one employee has seen him/her before. So even if you're 35 but don't show me ID, I won't sell you squat. That's the rule. Why? Corporate sends out stings to make sure we're following the rules. Customer just left me a note today. He thinks it's "unfair" and "ridiculous" that the prices of our products have gone up since 1993 (presumably the last time he visited our establishment). Yes, that's right -- NINETEEN NINTY-THREE. As in, SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO. He left the store without buying anything. What a man of principle! Kudos to you, sir. I applaud your stupidity.
